The debut novel by Daniel J. Lindqvist. A cold, psychological horror novel about survival, memory, and the private fears we spend our lives trying to outrun. It is Book One of a planned six-book work.

Both. The First Fear stands on its own. It is also the first of six novels that together form a single, unfolding work.

How dark is it? Is there content I should be aware of before reading?
The books are literary horror. They deal with fear, grief, memory, and psychological pressure. There is no gratuitous violence. Readers who prefer restrained, atmospheric horror over graphic content will feel at home.
What kind of horror is this?
Quiet, psychological, atmospheric. Closer to literary fiction than to genre thriller. Restrained on the surface, unsettling underneath.
